How To Treat Chest Heaviness While Suffering From Cold And Cough?
I ve had a cold with a bad cough for going on three weeks now. Felt a little better this weekend, did some things but today, I m exhausted, took a 2 hr nap, feel foggy and my lungs & chest feel heavy Not producing much mucus at all. Know there s alot of this going around but I seem to have slipped back.
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have chest heaviness while suffering from cough and cold is due to chest infection/ chronic upper respiratory tract infection. Need not to panic about it. I would suggest you to take cough expectorants. You should take nasal sprays and do warm saline gargles. You should take antibiotic Levofloxacin in combination with antiallergic medication. Visit ENT specialist once and get it examined. You should get X-ray chest done along with paranasal sinus x-ray done and start treatment after proper diagnosis. Apply mist himidifiers in room. Avoid oily and sharp food. Drink plenty of fluids.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
Get Well Soon.
Best Wishes, Dr. Harry Maheshwari
