Silly questions but Saturday night I had takeaway (fish and chips) after eating it I started feeling like something was stuck at the back of my throat and it's still there now, could I of swallowed a bone without bowing and could it still be down there?

Hi Dear ,

As per your query you have choking sensation in throat after eating . Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query like acid reflux , epiglottis , lump in throat and problems related to respiratory system . I would suggest you to consult ENT specialist for proper examination .Doctor may order throat swab test , viral culture test and examination with laryngoscope . Doctor may prescribe antibiotics ( amoxicillin ) , anti inflammatory and doctor may refer you to chest specialist or gastroenterologist for proper examination . For now avoid eating solid and hard food . Also avoid acidic food and beverages .

Hope your query has been resolved .
Best Wishes,
Dr. Harry Maheshwari
