How To Treat Chronic Diarrhea Despite Giving Flagyl For Amoebiasis?
My baby is six month old now hes been diagnose with amoebiasis has finish hes meds. Flagyl and erceflora for ten days, but hes still having diarrhea he poops everytime he feeds. How can i cure his amoeba naturally?? What is safe home remedy for a baby??
Hi Thanks for posting on HCM Persistence of diarrhea on flagyl and erceflora may suggest the cause is not amoeba or may be a co-infection of amoeba and another intestinal bacteria or parasite.Other causes may include: extradigestive viral/bacteria infections, lactose lactose intolerance. I will suggest you see the Doctor for a stool culture/sensitivity test as a course of antibiotics may be needed. You may try the following: -Give the child oral rehydration salt to replenish ions lost in diarrhea -Zinc tablets to help repair intestinal mucosa -Stay away from sugar/sweetened fluids If the child is too dehydrated, hospitalization and IV fluid replacement may be considered by your Doctor. Hope my answer will help you Best wishes
