How To Treat Chronic Hair Fall?
hello sir ,i am naveen from bangalore , india . now i am in stuttgart,germany for my masters .From Last 5 years i am experiencing hairfall after masturbation my hair becomes thin and fall . i have like lost around 30% of my hair overall. i had took a treatment of minoxidil 5% and finax tablets from dr.chandrashekar (cutis clinic) who was one of the most known doctor in bangalore . He asked me not to apply any hairoil and aslo told me to take finax tablet lifelong . Taking finax had good improvements as i experienced less or no hairfall for almost 2 yrs and i stopped taking the tablet as i saw it had some side effects as well. Please help me now what should i do for the growth and hairfall as the water here is changed and people are already saying it will cause hairfall . Please guide me which medication should i go with . You seems to have androgenetic alopecia/hereditary hair loss. Androgenetic alopecia manifests as increased hair loss and hair thinning from the crown and vertex part of the scalp associated with receding hair line in males. Treatment is with topical minoxidil (5% in males) along with oral antiandrogen (finasteride). Treatment is long term.
Few patients might experience decreased sexual drive while on finasteride, however this is a temporary/reversible side effect and usually subsides on its own on continued treatment. However some patients may not want to continue with it. In those cases we can start them on saw palmetto extract, which is claimed to have the same effect as finasteride but without the sexual side effects of finasteride. I would suggest that you can get a prescription for it from your treating dermatologist.
