I have a 5 year old who always tells me she feels congested. If she blows her nose, only a little snot comes out, but if she inhales, it sounds like there is a lot there. I am cleaning her nose with saline solution but it doesn t seem to be helping at all.
She may be suffering from rhinitis may be due to viral infection. Use water vapour inhalation. Use normal saline nasal drops after that use succer for suction (gently) of mucous. Use mucolytic medication to thinning of mucous. Use hot water for drinking. If no improvement, please consult with your Pediatrician he will examine and treat you accordingly.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
