How To Treat Congestion And Mucus After Taking Z Pak For Cough?

Hi, I also took a Z pak, it helped with the cough, but i still have lots of congestion and mucus thats causing me to throw up at least once a day. I have to admitt i feel better after i throw up. Its been a month now and the bugers and mucus keeps coming?

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain it seems that you have a sinus infection or Sinusitis leading to congestion due to accumulation of infectious fluid into the sinus as well as the same mucous causes post nasal drip and nasal discharge..
You should consult an Otolaryngologist and get evaluated and he can do a clinical examination and so advice investigations like PNS View x ray or MRI of the sinuses and treat you accordingly..
As of now you can take another course of antibiotics like Z-Pak and do steam inhalation, take mucolytics like Ambroxol and decongestant Oral as well as nasal..
Do warm saline gargles and also do warm compresses over the area around the nose..
Saline nasal spray can also help..
