Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I also have a constant runny nose. Been happening for a great number of weeks now. I also work in a butcher shop which doesnt help, constantly having to blow my nose and wash my hands of course. I have no allergies as such. I am 51 years old and female. Please help me. My nose also gets very itchy.
Hello there, You seem to be having allergic rhinitis. It is a condition where something in the environment-pollen, dander or dust irritates your nose and causes it to drip continuously. You can take tab allegra 180 mg in the morning and this will cause the symptoms to reduce. Also wear a mask(the kind you will get over the counter at any chemist) when you are working. It will improve hygiene and also restrict your exposure to any environmental trigger. Avoid cold air or cold places. If the air conditioning vent is very close to you, sit away from its direction of air. This may also trigger attacks. A nasal spray containing oxymetazoline can be tried but do not use it more that 2-3 times a day.
Hope this helps, Please feel free to address further queries to me. i will be happy to help you.
