Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..
I have gone through your query and can understand your concern..
As per your complain inhalation of bleach fumes can cause inflammation of the airway and there can be constriction of the bronchioles as a reactive phenomena after inhaling bleach fumes..
Irritation of throat and airway can cause bouts of coughing and irritation..
There are very less chances of lung damage with a single exposure and you are feeling discomfort due to inflammation and coughing..
In case if you have severe discomfort you can
consult a Pulmonologist and get evaluated and he can do a
laryngoscopy as well as if needed chest
x ray can be done to check for the exact cause of the symptoms..
You should do warm saline gargles and steam inhalations for relief..
Take cough suppressant containing
Dextromethorphan for relieving cough..
Avoid exposure to the bleach fumes or any other irritants and also use a humidifier in your room..
Hope this information helps..
Thanks and regards.
