Hello, Your child seems to be suffering from upper respiratory tract infection. Most of the infections are viral and they will heal by themselves. Only supportive care is necessary. Sometimes, bacterial infection may be super added. Then antibiotics are necessary. As you have been using relent syrup which contains Cetirizine and Ambroxol, you don t need to have another medicine for cough. Relent cures cough. Plenty of fluids are to be given. Steam inhalation daily once is advised. Make her drink warm water and gargling with warm water with a pinch of salt is advised. An antibiotic can be started as it s already 3 days elapsed now. Take syrup Amoxicillin 250 mg for 5 days. It comes as oral suspension that contains 250 mg/5ml.
