Hello!

Welcome on HCM!

I understand your concern and would explain that in your clinical situation it is important performing some tests in order to evaluate properly the condition of the nerves, spine and vertebral column.

For this reason, I would recommend performing a nerve conduction study and a lumbar spine MRI. You should consult with a spinal surgeon about surgery.

If surgery is excluded, I would recommend starting amytriptiline or pregabaline for the pain. Holding a lumbar brace can be helpful.

Hope you will find this answer helpful!
Kind regards!
