But it takes time. The pain in abdomen, spitting milk and not improving weight will improve over time. I would advise you the following in such a situation. Get the stool test repeated. Clinical evaluation to see if there are any other causes also co-existing with Amoebiasis. Get the blood and urine tests. Get Ultrasonography and X-ray of the abdomen in standing position. There may be associated appendicitis or abdominal tonsils that is lymph node enlargement and needs treatment at the same time. Also needed is an antiemetic and antispasmodic for symptomatic relief. Maintain the hydration and electrolyte balance. Visit the Pediatrician from time to time for proper clinical evaluation and management.
