Hi

Hypopigmentation or brown spots skin can represent tinea infections (fungal infection). If they appear as white or depigmented patches, vitiligo should be suspected.

Fungal infections or allergic reactions can be itchy or flaky whereas vitiligo does not have such symptoms.Avoiding excess sweating, tight clothing and maintaining personal hygiene can prevent fungal infections.

Oral antifungal drugs like fluconazole or topical antifungals like miconazole can be used to treat fungal infections.Antihistamines can be used in case of itching.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
