How To Treat Dizzy Spells, Nausea Due To Addison S Disease?
I was diagnosed with addison s disease and my adrenalin glands have stopped functioning. since coming home from hospital and taking steriods by mouth, i have been having dizzy spells, accompanied by neausea. this happens mostly when i move from position to position (standing to sitting, sitting to lying and laying to sitting) but also occurs at other times, but not too often. is there something i can to to alleviate this.
Infact i need to know what is the cause of Addison's disease ( bleeding, infections, other causes etc). It is important to treat underlying cause if any.
When you have addison's diesease, you have lost many hormones produced by adrenal gland. I am not sure which tablets are you taking now. However, the symptoms what you have indicate that you may suffer from lack of hormone called aldosterone. You must check your serum electrolytes and get your blood pressure checked while lying and standing. You may require cortisol replacement as well as fludrocortisone. Please meet an endocrinologist
