How To Treat Double Vision After A Microvascular Decompression Surgery?
I just had a Micro Vascular Decompression operation done 9 days ago. My neuralgia pain is gone for now and healing process is going well I think. No fever, no infection, no other side effects.... But I have had double vision since my operation. I have been given instructions to cover one eye and be careful going down the stairs. What do you think I should do more? Should I expect it will get better? Should I visit a Ophthalmologist? Please let me know your opnion. Thanks Si
First of all it's sad to know what you had been going through lately.
Based on the history you have shared, you need a detailed review by neurologist and an ophthalmologist. Double vision should get better after surgery but if it persists then you need to get brain imaging.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Saddiq Ulabidin, General & Family Physician
