My daughter has a bad ear ache. Her brother recently was exposed to someone iwth whopping cough on a dailbasis. Noenof my three kids are immunizedfor pertussis. Two are presenting with sore throats, fever one ear ache, and the other has had a bad cough now for 10 days.
I have gone through your query for ear ache and severe sore throat of your kid. Unfortunately your children are un immunized for whooping cough, and recentaly one had beed exposed to a patient of bad cough.
The ear ache of your daughter is probably due to acute otitis media. This have developed because of severe cough and infected throat had blocked the eustachian tube and that ultimately result in this agony. Here you may give following to your daughter for relief-
1- Tab Paracetamol.
2- Steam inhalation.
3- Anti histaminic and decongestants.
But you should consult a child specialist for to rule out chest infection and plan for immunization if necessary.
Regards.
