How To Treat Ear Infection In A Baby?
My friends 11 mo. old baby has been crying ever since he was born for hours, the doctor says he has a ear infection, I know that the position of the euthanasia tube plays a part in this, they won t give him meds for this , they say it will have to run it s course, any advice?

The diagnosis of acute otitis media requires bulging of the tympanic membrane or other signs of acute inflammation and middle ear effusion. The importance of accurate diagnosis is crucial to avoidance of unnecessary treatment. We suggest oral ibuprofen or acetaminophen to treat ear pain in children. The choice of initial treatment with antibiotic depends upon severity of illness.
