How To Treat Ear Infection?

My one year old is sick with a bacterial middle ear infections the doctor cover that diagnosis with most of his symptoms he is puking has diareaha whiny and fever but they did not say anything about the fact he wont walk and has been for two months he cries when i pick him up and just acts like he is in constant pain
