How To Treat Elevated SGPT And Tuberculosis?

HAVE AN INCREASE LEVEL OF SGPT AND MINIMAL TUBERCULOSIS. THE DOCTOR ADVISED ME TO REFRAIN FROM EATING PORK, BEEF AND EVEN SEAFOODS!!! I WAS GIVEN SUPPLEMENTS TOGETHER WITH PRESCRIPTIVE DRUGS FOR MY TUBERCULOSIS. iS THIS CORRECT THAT I CANNOT EAT THE FOODS STATED ABOVE?

thanks for asking your question
i completely understand your issue
it ll be helpfull if you refrain from the above mentioned foods , and alcohol too.
actually these drugs like rifampicin , isoniazid and pyrazinamide are hepatotoxic so if sgpt , sgot , serum bilirubin is raised then these anti tb drugs should be taken with precuations
if bilirubin level is raised and there are symptoms like vomiting nausea , jaundice and sgot and sgpt are 5 times your normal limit these anti tb drugs should be changed by non hepatotoxic anti tb drugs like levo floxacin , strptomycin and ethambutol .
and the usual drugs are stopped for sometime and then reintroduced to see the offending drugs one by one .
thanks / regards
