How To Treat Excessive Eye Watering And Redness After Using Lenses Soaked In Chemicals?

I mistook Bausch and lambs peroxide clear 3percent cleaning and disinfecting solution for saline. I soaked the lenses in my regular lense case and placed directly in my eye Needless to say it really hurt and I got the lense out and flushed my eye for a few minutes withe water. It was red and sensitive a little for rest of day but not bothersome. Thought it would be much better overnight but when I woke up it has been tearing and red and quite sensitive.i thought it would be better not worse I live in a third world country and appreciate any advise. No blurring vision except by tears. And also wondered about the contacts and case which I rinsed out several times with saline . Hoping I can just wait for it to get better

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Better go to ophthalmologist and check it. Those chemicals irritated and ulcer may formed. If nothing is there no watering from the eye.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care
