I have had an eye infection for four days now. On the first day I called a doctor and over the phone he called me in a prescription. They are 7 day eyedrops to get rid of the bacteria. You think after taking it for almost five days now it would show some signs of improvment, but it is not. It has not gotten smaller and the second on the medication it just got bigger. I do not know what to do. My eye just droops down all the time and it is puffy. No drainage, no pinkness, just irritating. The medication makes it itch more
It seems from the history that you are having conjunctivitis and on treatment with antibiotic eye drops. Since it is not responding to treatment you probably need to confirm the diagnosis by eye examination by an ophthalmologist. You may need to change the antibiotic eye drops according to the culture and sensitivity report. Hence I advise you to consult your ophthalmologist for examination and treatment.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
