How To Treat Facial Acne While Suffering From Thyroid And PCOD?
Hi, I am a 35 year old, female. I have been getting acne on my face for around 4-5 month. I am taking medication for thyroid and pcod, but I have been under the same medications for more than 5 years. My periods are irregular and this time I haven t had periods for more than 3 months. Around the time when I started getting acne, I had tried sesame seeds and jaggery to regularise periods as suggested by some people, I am guessing this could have caused the acne, but that too I had taken only for a week or less. Now I use only Lactocalmine and vicco turmeric on face and wash my face with Richfeel anti acne soap but nothing seems totally be working. It s spreading and leaving marks as it goes. Any suggestions?
Acne is due a combination of factors: (1) inflammation of the skin (2) blockage of the hair follicles (3) excess production of sebum which is a oily waxy substance (4)presence of bacteria
Treatment of each aspect of these would be helpful. This would involve the use of topical and oral antibiotic, benzoyl peroxide, retinoids . You may need to see a dermatologist.
I hope this helps
