Hi, I fell and hit my head hard on the floor 2 nights ago (alcohol was involved). I have had a really bad headache ever since. Yesterday I felt nauseous and dizzy but blamed it on the hangover. The back of my head and neck are tender to touch. However it has gotten better. It woke me up for 3 hours lastnight. Should I get it checked?
Hi, I had gone through your question and understand your concerns. Minor head injuries often cause a bump or bruise. As long as the person is awake (conscious) and with no deep cuts, it's unlikely there will be any serious damage. Minor head injury may also associated with mild headache, nausea and dizziness. Already 2 nights have passed since the incident and you are feeling better, so no need to worry. Local tenderness over back of head can be treated with icepack application and nonopioid analgesic if required. Hope this answers your question. If you have additional questions or follow up questions then please do not hesitate in writing to us. I will be happy to answer your questions.
Wishing you good health.
