Hi im 48 years old I have one large fibroid measuring 9.3 cm x7.8 x 6.4 the size of a soft ball. I was told that I had to have full hysterctomy by c-section and that it is my only option. I am taking the new medication Fibristal for one month to help control bleeding and help shrink the fibroid its a pre - surgery medication that I should take for 3 months only, so far no change , my stomach is worse I look 6 months pregnant . I am a very fit I use to have abs a very flat stomach which I worked very hard for at the gym but I havent seen my abs for 8 months now. My question is can I have another purcedure with being cut open and can the fibroid be removed without taking out my uterus and cervix ?
