How To Treat Fluid Around Heart Causing Breathlessness During Pregnancy?
My 32 year old daughter is 25 weeks pregnant. Since she s been pregnant she has problems with shortness of breath. Today she had tightness in her chest and blacked out. Her BP was 50/39. About a month ago she had a sonogram on her heart because of shortness of breath and it showed some fluid around her heart which she just found out today. The Dr told her at the time of the sonogram everything was ok. She works full time as a nurse in a cancer center. Should she continue to work? What could happen to her and the baby? Thank you
Hello dear welcome to HealthcareMagic Concerning your daughters 25weeks pregnant with a symptoms of breathlessness chest tightness following a diagnosed fluid around the heart by a sonogram I am suggesting that she has a condition called pericardial effusion
In view of this let her see a cardiovascular surgeon specialist for further clinical assessment specific diagnostic test as well as surgical Invasive procedure called pericardiotomy to improve the blood pressure
I hope this helps Regards
