How To Treat Gas, Constipation With Sticky Stool Along With Acid Reflux Since 5 Yrs?
My name is Maureen. I'm 30 years old, 5'9" and 175lbs. I have had acid reflux for about 5 years now. For the last 2 weeks my acid reflux has been acting up more than usual. I keep having stomach upsets but the worst part is that I have really bad gas and I'm constipated with sticky stool. I can pass a little but it still feels like I have more I need to pass. I eat fiber regularly and I avoid junk food. I typically eat a healthy diet so I don't know what's causing this. It's getting to the point that I'm getting concerned and wondering if I should see a doctor.
Hello. You should avoid foods that cause gas (cauliflower, artichokes, carbonated drinks...). Your diet should be rich in water, vegetables and fruit (except apple and banana). Also it is advisable to prescribe drugs to treat reflux and improve mobility of the digestive tract. In my opinion Omeprazole 20 mg twice a day + Metoclopramide 10 mg thrice a day can be taken for treating your condition. Please consult your local doctor/specialist for a prescription. I wish you good health. (If the answer has helped you, please indicate this)
