General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi,

Citalopram is known to give constipation as a side effect. Citalopram is used in treating depression and depression itself can also cause changes in bowel habits.
Now that you have Acid reflux and constipation I would advise you the following:
Take a Laxative and stool softener for constipation.
Avoid the foods and factors that cause constipation.
Take a PPI like Pantoprazole and Domperidone as anti-reflux measures.
All these things should help you.
If the constipation continues in spite of the medications please talk to your Doctor to change over to another medicine for depression.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. T Chandrakant,
