Hi,I am Dr. Subhankar Chakraborty (Gastroenterologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Im 34 and two days ago I woke up with sever stomach and lower back pain on right side. It hurts to sit stan or even lay down. It really hurts when I take a deep breathe. It feels like gas in my stomach but a sharp stabbing in my back or when I take a deep breathe. Please help
Hi. Thanks for your query. Noted the history and understood the concerns. Sharp stabbing pains in stomach and back on taking deep breath are most probably due to some pathology in the lower chest or the spine at the back. I would advise you the following in such a situation: Get a clinical examination by a General Surgeon so that the probable cause can be identified. X-ray of the chest PA view. MRI of the Spine Ultrasonography of the abdomen and CT scan if it needs some confirmation. Tests of blood, urine and stool. This will give the correct diagnosis for a proper plan of management.
