How To Treat Hair Fall Caused Due To Hypertension?

I use to have very thick and long hair..but past few years I suffered from hyper tension due to some problems. I have suffered heavy hair fall since then. Now it has become a mess. My doc has adviced hair 4 you lotion and becosule iron suppliments.I am scared to experiment on my hair now please help.
