Endocrinologist 's  Response
Hello Teresa,

Hashimoto thyroiditis is an autoimmune disease and the antibodies implied in causing it are 2:

-Ati TPO (anti peroxidase)
-Anti thyroglobuline

If you want to confirm the autoimmune origin you have to check both of them.

In most of the cases are AntiTPO responsible but in your case may be Anti thyroglobuline has caused it.
Hope i have answered your query.

Kind regards,
Dr.Mirjeta Guni
