How To Treat Hearing Loss?

I have been having problems with vertigo and dizziness. I have had ear problems since birth. I am 34. My ear also has ecesma. II am seeing an ENT and they all say nothing is wrong with my ears my right ear is the worse. I have decreased hearing in my right ear. I had a MRI done to rule out anything with the head and nothing is wrong. I am still experiencing dizziness and I know it is the ear. What else could it be related to?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi.
Thanks for your query and an elucidate history.
Noted your history of vertigo and dizziness, having ear problems since childhood, but ENT is saying that nothing is wrong.
Hence I would advise you the following:
- Get an opinion of another ENT Surgeon, preferably the one with Neurology exposure too.
- Get CT scan of the ears (mastoids).
- Audiometry to see how much is your actual hearing.

All these things will give us an idea about the probable diagnosis and get the proper treatment.
If actually everything turns out to be normal, I would advise you to take an opinion of a Psychiatrist.
I find this answer helpful
