How To Treat High BP After Discontinuing Amlodipine And ACE Inhibitor?

My mother in law decided to stop here BP meds amlodapine and an ACE inhibitor she was visiting last night and i told not a good idea to just stop. Said she was not feeling well on the meds but feels better now. i have a monitor checked BP it was 220/90 she is an 80 yearold female.

You mention that your mother blood pressureis 220/90mmHg that is not normal.It is too high....
Your mother are is 80 year old right....so suddenly without doctor consent you cannot stop this drugs.

You don't mention what problems occur after taking this amelodipine drugs.

High blood pressure cause many problems. In recent study there is more case saw heart attack case.

You have to meet your general physician and tell him your problems.
Sometime high dose drugs may cause some problem. Physician can change a dose of that drugs .

Do some regular exercise.
Eat less salty foods.
Avoid stressful condition.
Regularly mesure blood pressure.

So don't stop a drugs without doctor 's suggetion.
