How To Treat High Level Of Plaque Around The Heart?
My husband went in this morning for a CT scan. They could not complete the exam because of a high level of plaque around the heart. It was above 1500. He is 68 years old. What type of treatment would be done to treat this condition. He has had some episodes of his chest feeling heavy.
Treatment in this condition ranges from tablets to the surgery(bypass). Treating doctor can only decide it as it depends on severity of symptoms, level of blockage of heart blood vessels and suitability of your husband for surgery. tablets are required to be taken life long to avoidt future problems. Morever your husband need to stop smokking, start morning exercises, less fatty diet, no to alcohol.
I would advise you to follow the doctor's advise.
I hope I have clarified your queries. Please write for subsequent questions. I wish good health to your husband and rapid recovery. Thanks
