How To Treat Increased Triglyceride Level During Pregnancy?
Hi, I am 7 weeks pregnant. My cholesterol in the past has bordered on high however in my recent labwork it was all normal but my triglycerides skyrocketed from 90 to 234. My SGPT is also 74. I am seven weeks pregnant, and underweight with BMI of 16. I eat a very balanced diet. Went through IVF. What should I ask my doctor about? What other tests are needed?
Hello, I had gone through your question and reports and i admire your positive outlook regarding it. I would like to know whether your triglycerides was with fasting blood or not???because if its random, then the level of TG might get high due to food that you had taken, so i would suggest you to repeat the TG with fasting blood. Your SGPT is higher than normal and it indicates liver involvement, so i would suggest you to check your bilirubin level and you can even go for ultrasound abdomen. Sometimes fatty liver changes can cause high TG and high SGPT levels. So in that case, i would suggest you to take oil free diet and take a balanced diet high in protein. Hope this will help you to plan your action and let me know if you have any further queries, i will be obliged to answer you. Wishing you a best health.
