hello, pregnancy itself is responsible for low haemoglobin.hypothyroid individuals are known to have high TSH and high cholesterol as well as high triglycerides in blood.it is due to metabolics controled by the thyroid hormone which are low in hypothyroid individuals.if this condition is accompanied by pregnancy,it will add more to the symptoms.the proper treatment will take care of it.
Thanks for the query.
Hypothyroidism is invariably associated with Hypercholesterolemia and anaemia. Thyroid deficiency leads to decreased metabolism and hence accumulation of fat and cholesterol. Hemoglobin synthesis does require sufficient thyroid hormone. Hence we request you to get back to your Gynec and get suffiecient daily dose of Thyroid hormone. This hormone deficiency in pregnancy needs to be correctly and early so that fetal development is adequate.
Meanwhile, ensure that you are on Iodized salt and please get away from Cabbage in your diet. Cabbage has antithyroid effect.
Thanks
