Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
How To Treat Indentation And Blood Vessels Under The Skin Of Buttock?
I fell down a flight of stairs about six years ago with my right buttock hitting each step in the same place (six steps). There was a deep indentation in my buttock and a lot of blood under the skin. My doctor told me this would go away eventually. The indentation is still there, and there is a hard roll of hardened blood under the skin. Is there anything that can be done about this at this point? It shows through my clothing, makes me look deformed, and I am embarrassed by it.
Since you have hardened blood under the skin you can apply ointment thrombophob locally in the area affected. Thrombophob ointment is also used to treat bruises (it decreases pain and swelling) and hematoma (collection of blood under the skin). It speeds up the dissolution of the blood clot.
To get rid of the indentations get connected to a physiotherapist, there are many exercises that will help to tone up the gluteal muscles by muscle activation and muscle building exercises. You should take a balanced diet that is nutritious and home made so that you can gain appropriate weight that helps to cover up the indentations that make you conscious.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
