Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain it seems that there is infection in the soft skin at the side of the nail and it seems to be due to injury caused due to Manicure that might have caused deeper cuttiing of the nail or injury to the nail cuticle..
It is generally a bacterial infection and is treated by Podiatrist..
You should consult a Podiatrist and get evaluated and a clinical examination is generally sufficient..
He can advise you to apply a combination od antiseptic and steroid creams..
You can also be advised to do cool compresses..
A short course of antibiotics and anti inflammatory painkiller like Ibuprofen can be advised to you for relief..
You should also soak the finger in warm water three to four times a day.
Avoid further trauma and injury to the nail as it can increase infection..

Hope this information helps..

Thanks and regards.
