Hi... I am 27... Female... Married 2 yrs... Trying to conceive for past 2 years... Diagnosed mild pcods both overies.... For my husband semen ... Tested... Everything normal for him... I tried one time for follicular study with clomid induced... That time failed... After that I went hsg.... Both my tubes are patent... After that past one year I am trying to conceive under clomid ... No other drugs more than this... In between I checked ... I am ovulating.... Even though why am not at all get conveive.... Where is the problem .... My husband is my cousin... May be this the problem ...consanguinity is the problem ... Y it s not at all happening... Need treatment plan and please tell me what whould be the problem... Thank you
Hi, Thanks for posting in HCM. I understand your concern. PCOD causes irregular menstruation pattern, which would be difficult to predict ovulation. Also since the endometrium is not prepared to accept ovulation after fertilization, it makes difficult to get implanted. Hence there is difficulty in conceiving. You need to get treated for PCOD by following means: 1. Reduction in weight by low carbohydrate diet and moderate exercise. 2. Regularization of periods by birth control pills. 3. Induction of ovulation by Clomifen citrate and Metformin. 4. Anti-androgen drug Spironolactone intake. With this, it will improve your chances to conceive. Kindly consult Gynecologist in this regard for appropriate management. All the best.
