Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
the under side of my tongue, that membrane that holds the tongue to floor of your mouth, was rubbed against my lower front incisors (teeth) 7 days ago when i gave oral sex to my fiancee. i think its called the frenum. how do i treat it and make it heal faster? plus for next time i giver her oral how can i prevent that from hurting again?
As per your query you got injury to frenulum in mouth which is very common occurrence. A small injury will heal its own and it needs nothing to be done. Avoid touching that area constantly. Don't take alcohol, spicy food for few days as it will exaggerate your symptoms.
Take multivitamin tablet which will fasten its healing. Apply topical corticosteroid ointment on it for few days and it will heal with out any stitches. Apply aloe vera gel with the help of cotton. At times fibrosis occur at that area which cause shortening of tongue which is known as tongue tie. Treatment of tongue tie require proper investigation by your physician.
I would suggest you to visit your physician once if your symptoms not resolving. Avoid oral sex till the time your injury gets healed properly as chances of re injury are there.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
Get Well Soon. Best Wishes, Dr. Harry Maheshwari
