Hello thanks for asking from HCM for your health related queries
I can understand your concern. You have problems of persistent insomnia. The insomnia is occurring due to problems in relationship, family, career etc. Most likely the insomnia is occurring due to adjustment disorder. Sleeping aids can help in giving sleep but they will not treat the problem so I would not advise you to use sleeping aids on regular basis. For proper treatment some antidepressants like Trazodone, Mirtazapine, Paroxetine etc can be used. These drugs are antidepressant drugs and help in good sleep. These drugs are also free of dependence potential so are totally safe to use. To supplement the actions of these drugs sleep drugs like Z-drugs or Benzodiazepines etc can be used. Drugs like Lorazepam, Clonazepam, Zolpidem etc are used commonly. Please consult a psychiatrist for evaluation of your problem and for treatment.
Thanks, Hope this helps you. Take care
