How To Treat Intense Ear Pain And Headache After Hearing A Loud Noise?

I was talking to someone on the phone a week ago. Without warning she saw a person..screamed her name still holding her cell phone..right into my ear! I felt a quick pain..dropped My phone on the sofa..went into a fetal position holding my ear!! It was intense that evening..since then a headache..bit of ringing in my right ear! Eventually hung the phone up..haven t talked to her or really anyone since! She yelled her name but I don t know what it was?

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

You may be having noise induced injury of ear.

It may present like tinnitus, vertigo, dizziness or staying of sounds like that etc.

Avoid exposure to heavy noise, avoid ear phones, use tablet vitamin B12, Ginkgo biloba and N-Acetyl Cysteine which may little useful.

If symptoms not improved, please consult your doctor. He will examine and treat you accordingly.
