How To Treat Itchy Red Circle On The Back Of Left Shoulder?
I have a red circle on the back of my left shoulder. Its itchy and looks white in the middle like my skin color and has a perfect red circle around it. The size of a penny. The middle feels flat but the circle is a bump. Like a mosquito bite. Super itchy. I've been applying antifungal cream, I suspect its ringworm BUT its gettin bigger??? I've had it for about a week now
I would ask you get a KOH wet mount from the scale, for a confirmatory diagnosis.
If KOH wet mount shows fungal elements, then you could apply a topical OTC antifungal cream e.g clotrimazole cream, twice daily for 4-6 weeks.
An oral antifungal e.g fluconazole 150mg once weekly for 4-6 weeks is also advisable for a confirmed fungal infection.
An OTC antihistamine e,g cetrizine 10mg once daily would help you in providing symptomatic relief from itching.
regards

Hello and welcome to healthcaremagic Itchy, scaly, annular lesion, suggests to me that it is most likely a fungal infection over there (Tinea corporis).
