how long will this effusion on my knee last? It happened on Saturday and is still puffy. Very little pain and I can bare weight on it. It is not discolored or dislocated. I felt a burning sensation and still a slight one in the center of the Patella.
Meniscus injury can be managed by arthroscopic repair, and same day you can go home. As per your symptoms you need to do physiotherapy and knee exercises to improve range of motion . If pain persist then you may need to do MRI again to see for any functional defect.
small meniscus tear can be managed conservatively with physiotherapy with USG and TENS.
