How To Treat Lack Of Movement In The Left Hand While Treating Cerebral Palsy?

Hello, my name is April. I was born with cerebral palsy throughout my left side of my body due to bleeding on my brain at birth. I have been trying to learn to play guitar for a while, but as my response in my left hand is delayed, it makes playing difficult. My left hand continues to lock up, and my fingers do not respond properly. Is there a way to improve/fix this? I want to play guitar like my idols but I can t if my hand keeps locking up.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Cerebral palsy means damage to part of the brain that controls muscle activity at affected part of body. Full improvement is difficult but passive exercises, physiotherapy & vitamin B12 supplement, calcium, vitamin D intake, protein supplements can facilitate bodily movements to facilitate routine life.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Vasudha Jayant Athavale, General & Family Physician
