How To Treat Lesion In Kidney When Diagnosed With Constipation?
I have a 4mm lesion in my right kidney and it is bothering me. Although I was diagnosed with constipation, I do not think this is my main concern, a CT scan is also showing a thickness in the bowel wall. I went to the ER and I don t know what else to do.
I really cannot say in your particular case. I was surprised to find that a relatively large percent of 4mm masses matter. I thought it was going to be 10% or less and it's more likely to be about 50%. The first thing is to see what happens over a short period of time and if there is continuing growth, then some study to get it out is needed. Thickness in the bowel wall is going to be similar. Everything can cause it.
It depends totally on the particulars of the CT findings. If it is small, then it is not likely to matter. Follow up studies to see if it changed OR the existence of other symptoms (bleeding, peritonitis, death, etc) would strongly influence how it would be managed. It is technically most likely, nothing is wrong. But the percent that something serious is going on is more than the near zero I originally assumed. In any case, the first step would be re-evaluation in a short period of time and that doesn't matter about other illnesses, it can still be done.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
