How To Treat Loose Motion, Vomiting And Fever In A Baby?
Hi, I am sunil and my daughter 2.5 months old is having loose motion for the last one week. We consulted the paed. doctor and he recommended walamycin and concaid drop for the same. Even after giving the medicine she is still passing watery stool. She is not having other problem like vomiting and fever. Please suggest how to stop the loose motion and what to do since we don t want to give her medicines since its a infant child. xxxxx
As your baby's age is 2.5 months, you should take care for her body fluid maintenance. In Diarrhea lot of fluid loss occurs and child became weak. so first of all you should continue exclusive breast feeding and ORS powder (if frequency and quantity of diarrhea is higher than normal e.g. more than 6 to 7 times). if she had fever than you should continue with antibiotic medication as prescribed by pediatrician. if diarrhea continue for more than 2 to 3 days then it is advisable for further investigation e.g. stool examination, routine blood investigation
