My 15 year old son had to have a sports physical today and he pediatrician sent us for a ekg stat because his heart rate was 52. Safe said that is to low for a child his age. He does sports conditioning daily and plays lots of baseball. He also runs a lot. Should I be worried? Is he ok to continue playing sports and training.
HI Well come to HCM I really appreciate your concern, if the boy is athlete then such heart rate is common and this is nothing to worry it is not the critically low heart, second let physician read the pulse because he is the final judge hope this information helps.
