Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My husband has been diagnosed with low testosterone and mild depression , he was using gel for the low t since then he has withdrawn from friends and family and is now asking for a divorce? What do I do he will not seek treatment we have been together 18 years and have never had any problems till now.
I would advise you to visit a hospital and try to find out the cause of low testosterone. Once found you can take treatment accordingly for the underlying cause. Also, you can take testosterone injections for raising the levels. The problem is curable and I don't see any reason for divorce. You must reassure him and consult a physician at the earliest. You must also seek a counselling for the marital discord which will be very helpful.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Anoop Kumar, General & Family Physician
