How To Treat Metallic Foreign Bodies In Pelvis?

My 20 year old daughter had an fluoro voiding cystogram. The scout film shows two round metallic foreign bodies within the right side of the pelvis. Should these be removed right away! She not eating or pooping! The surgeon we saw today wants to wait two week to see if she gets sicker! Should we have second option to see about geting them removed??
