How To Treat Mild Eye Pain Inspite Of Taking Mandanol Eye Drops?
Good Evening Doctor, I am at a work on nightshift, two days ago was looking at computer screen which was had strong sunlight on the screen, sunset period. I turned to try and anticipate when the sun would reposition and may have engaged with sun for too long. I now have a dull pain and right eye appears. I have tried Mandanol eye drops but the pain as not abated. My eyesight is ok and eyes are not bloodshot. Pete

Mandanol eye drops contain hypromellose which is used as an artificial tear in the eye for relieving the dryness and irritation of eye due to decreased flow of tear. It is used in the moistening contact lenses and lubricating artificial eyes. But, it is not an ideal medication for long term use. It should not be used as a daily basis, because your eyes get dependent on this medication and may become red after stop applying Mandanol eye drops. So, this medication should be used very cautiously and not more than a few days. Overusing of this medication can cause some side effects or complications like eye redness, itching, irritation or discomfort, eye infections, increased sensitivity of eyes to light, watering of eyes, blurring of vision etc. So, before start using this eye drops, you should consult with your eye specialist to avoid any complications in the near future. Systane Ultra lubricant eye drops can be used instead of Mandanol eye drops.
