How To Treat Mild Unilateral Nose Bridge Pressure And Discomfort?
I have mild unilateral nose bridge pressure/discomfort. It is exacerbated by wearing eye glasses. Oxymetazoline nasal spray provides temporary relief. Antihistamines seem to be helpful also. This has been happening intermittently for months. What could be the cause/workup/treatment? Would netty pot be helpful? Is it true I shouldn t use oxymetazoline spray for more than 3 days consecutively?
Cause of unilateral nose bridge pressure should be located by the ENT specialist. If no pathological cause is found then you can try netty pot as you have suggested Oxymetazoline nasal drops can be used for 7to 10 days.If i have to treat such a patient as you feel relieved with antihistamines it is to be presumed some allergic & infective part is the cause. Treatment is tab moxiclav625bd ,tab metronidazole 200 bd, tab pseudophedrine&cetrizine bd, tab Azithromycin500 od, All for 5 days, steam inhalation thrice a day
